Traditional Healing Ceremonies Using the Power of Iboga & 5-MeO-DMT

Bwiti is the Study of Life

Iboga is the Teacher

Bwiti is about gaining a deeper understanding of who you are, and Iboga is the portal to that understanding. The mind is largely uncontrolled in today's society. Anxiety, depression, and mental health conditions in general are becoming normalized in Western culture. The profound changes that come with using iboga are centered around controlling the mind. It's about bringing our subconscious habits that are the cause of these mental health conditions into the conscious mind, bringing awareness to the cause and effect of our thoughts, emotions, and actions. From this awareness, there comes alignment, and when you are aligned, you're able to manifest the life of your dreams.

The Study Of Life Itself

Bwiti is a way of understanding life that exists alongside Iboga. It is not a structured religion, and it does not come from written doctrine or human authority. There are no manuals, no hierarchy, and no single teacher. Its knowledge is said to arise from direct experience with the natural world and the medicine itself.

At its core, Bwiti is about learning. Learning how to observe, how to think, how to live, and how to exist with awareness. It focuses on personal responsibility and inner growth. Rather than telling people what to believe, it encourages them to discover truth through reflection and experience.

These teachings are meant to help people take control of their own lives and understand themselves more deeply. Elders and guides support others through conversation and storytelling, offering insight drawn from tradition. This spoken sharing of wisdom is known as Firetalk.

The First Way of Teaching

Firetalk was the earliest expression of Bwiti. People would sit together around a fire and exchange understanding, lessons, and guidance. The fire became a place of learning, honesty, and connection.

Over time, Iboga became central to this tradition, offering deeper insight into life, balance, and inner peace. It became a foundation for the spiritual tools used to strengthen clarity and emotional well-being.

The cultural elements of Bwiti—its ceremonies, rhythms, and sacred practices—were developed through generations of careful observation and respect. The Babongo people have preserved these traditions and continue to protect them today.

The Role of Music

Music is the heartbeat of Bwiti ceremonies. It is not background sound but a living part of the experience. Voices and instruments work together to create movement, focus, and connection.

Men and women contribute different songs, weaving layers of sound that build energy and meaning. The rhythms guide attention and help shape the ceremonial atmosphere.

Two traditional instruments often lead: the Ngombi, a stringed harp, and the Muogoungo, a mouth-played bow. These are supported by percussion such as rattles, drums, and shakers.

The Expression of Dance

Dance in Bwiti is both physical and symbolic. Each movement carries meaning and tradition. Men and women perform distinct styles, passed down through generations.

Dancers adorn themselves with natural colors and materials like clay, chalk, feathers, leaves, and handcrafted ornaments. Some wear shells or bells that add rhythm to their steps, turning motion into music.

Dance becomes a form of prayer, storytelling, and identity, blending body, spirit, and culture into one living expression.
